Earl’s Court Festival 19 June to 17 July 2011

The Festival is an annual celebration of the ‘Exotic Cultures and Hidden Curiosities’ of Earl’s Court.

Venues include The Troubador whose alumni include Richard Harris (while studying acting at nearby London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), Charlie Watts, Alexis Korner, Bob Dylan (who played as Blind Boy Grunt), Paul Simon, Jimmy Page (after a gig at Earls Court Arena round the corner), Robert Plant, Jimi Hendrix (while living next door to the house where, years before, Handel had lived), Davey Graham, Linda Thompson, Bert Jansch; the Finborough Theatre; The Enterprise Hotel; Brompton Cemetery (where tombstones bear the names of characters from The Adventures of Jemima Puddle-Duck by local resident Beatrix Potter).  Full details at www.earlscourtfestival.co.uk
