Their city is made of paper, as are their hearts. The children seek to rebuild an ash-filled world destroyed by war, by folding one paper brick at a time.  Beautiful puppetry comes with live music, projected animation and shadow play.

Set in an imaginary world, the show will utilise key elements of Japanese culture and the details surrounding the true events of the Hiroshima and Nagosaki atomic bombs. Sparkle & Dark puppetry company’s new show seeks to present a modern, universal fable that highlights the fragility and frustration of children surrounded by a war not of their own doing.

The production combines drama, mature fable, puppetry and ensemble storytelling and the recommended lower age limit is 10yrs old

Runtime is 40mins followed by post show discussion (in total 1hr)

The Rosemary Branch 2 Shepperton Rd, London N1 3DT
